CPA for a Day 2021
Students from different majors in their first or second year solve a case about your company. The case contains multiple accounting topics and is presented in front of a panel of firm representatives, JMSB Alumni, and faculty members. The winners win the chance to shadow a CPA at a firm.
REGISTRATION OPENS ON JANUARY 4TH AND ENDS ON FEBRUARY 4TH.
Are you a 1st or 2nd year JMSB student with an interest in Accounting and the CPA profession?
Then, this is your chance to start off the winter semester on the right track by taking part in an ONLINE case competition!
This is a great learning experience for students to be able to take their accounting knowledge and apply it to a case. You will also have the chance to test your presentation skills and expand your network!
Additionally, each member of the winning team will get a chance to have an online video coffee chat with a person from the Big 4 accounting firm of their choosing!
- Teams of 3 to 4 students (MINIMUM of 3 people)
- If you are signing up alone, the participant will be placed in a team.
- Must have taken COMM217
How to sign up?
Purchase your ticket on Eventbrite and answer the questions about you and your team! You can sign up as a TEAM or as an INDIVIDUAL (signing up as an INDIVIDUAL, means that your team will be created by the organizing committee).
